For decades, Padmesh Gupta was synonymous with Gupta Corporation, a powerhouse in the coal and energy sectors. However, in recent years, he has systematically stepped away from his commercial interests to dedicate his "entire energy, time, and resources" to Go-Vignyan Anusandhan Kendra (GVAK) in Deolapar.
"This is a mission, not a business. Our goal is to enhance the utility of the cow for modern humanity." — Padmesh Gupta.
The Architect of Maharashtra's First Cow University
His most significant contribution to date is the establishment of the Maharashtra Govansh Sciences and Conservation University (officially moving forward in 2025–2026). Research Focus: Unlike traditional shelters, this university, functioning under the GVAK umbrella, focuses on the scientific validation of cow products—milk, curd, ghee, urine, and dung. Preserving Heritage: The institution specifically researches breeds native to Maharashtra to ensure their genetic conservation through modern methods like IVF and Sex-Sorted Semen.
Recent Accolades: The "Best Farmer Award" (2026)
In March 2026, Padmesh Gupta was honoured with the "Best Farmer Award" at a Regional Conference on Natural Farming held in Nagpur. This award, presented in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, recognises his work in: Natural Farming — Promoting "Gau-Aadharit" (cow-based) agriculture to replace chemical fertilizers. Rural Economy — Empowering tribal villages around Deolapar by creating a sustainable economy centred on cow products.
Scientific Seva: Bridging Ancient Wisdom and Modern Patents
Gupta has elevated "Gau Seva" from a religious act to a scientific one. Under his leadership, the Kendra has: Secured five international patents for cow-urine-based distillates used as bio-enhancers in medicine. Partnered with institutions like Ramdeobaba University to foster student startups that develop organic and medicinal products.
